Here are a few sample pages from "Foundations for Guitar"
Open Chords - these are just a few of the chord types that we learn. Also included are movable chord shape families such as "Power Chords", "Barre Chords" and "Partial Chords". In addition to the chord lessons there are chord charts at the end of the book with nearly 70 of the most useful chord voicings for Rock, Blues, Jazz, Folk and Country music as well as blank Standard Notation, "Tab" and Neck Chart paper.
Here is a portion of a "Song Example", where we apply the chord, rhythm and reading skills we have learned to this point. There are thirteen complete pieces of music in "Foundations for Guitar"!

Note reading - by the end of the Book 1 you will be able to read standard notation in the 5th position and have the ability to find notes everywhere on the guitars fretboard.
At the beginning of the book we have pictures help us with hand positioning.
